    The School District of Clayton supports a learning environment that addresses diversity, equity, inclusion, and positive experiences for

    ALL students.

    Making Inclusion Happen Award

    The Making Inclusion Happen Award honors Clayton teaching staff, throughout the District, who have demonstrated outstanding efforts in the area of inclusion and for their dedication to providing a quality education and experience for our increasingly diverse student population and those students marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economics status, cultural heritage, language preference and other factors.

    Teaching staff includes general education and special education teachers, elective teachers, speech-language therapists, counselors, social workers, occupational and physical therapists.

    Guidelines

    • Nominees can include teachers (academic, elective and special education), counselors, social workers, speech-language therapists and occupational and physical therapists.
    • Staff, parents, or community members can nominate individuals.
    • A panel will select individuals to receive the award.
    • Award recipients will be honored at the Inclusion Awards Event & Ceremony on Monday, April 11th 2022.  
    • Nomination FORM are due by midnight on Friday, February 25th, 2022.

    Creating Connections Award

    The Creating Connections Award honors Clayton support staff throughout the District, who have demonstrated outstanding skills and dedication to our increasingly diverse student population and those students marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economics status, cultural heritage, language preference and other factors.

    Support staff includes paraprofessionals, interns, bus drivers, secretaries, custodians, occupational and physical therapy assistants and any other non-certified staff in the District.

    Guidelines

    • Nominees can include paraprofessionals, interns, bus drivers, secretaries, custodians, occupational and physical therapy assistants and any other noncertified staff in the District.
    • Staff, parents, or community members can nominate individuals.
    • A panel will select individuals to receive the award.
    • Award recipients will be honored at the Inclusion Awards Event & Ceremony on Monday, April 11th 2022.  
    • Nomination FORM are due by midnight on Friday, February 25th, 2022.
